Upskirting is the practice of making unauthorized photographs especially under a woman's or a girl's skirt who does not realize or disagree about this procedure.

According to the legal situation in Germany, "upskirting" was - up to now - not a criminal offense, it was only punished as an administrative offense. But the Bundestag (German Federal Parliament) has now decided that "upskirting" will in future be a criminal offense and that the legislation provides a prison sentence of up to two years.
